The #WWReadathon is – finally -back! But what is it about, you ask? The Wicked Valentine’s Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of February 7-14 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun! In the meantime, Bex and April will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! How cool is that?
Regular readers might know that #WWReadathon 1.0 was the very first read-a-thon I’ve ever signed up for and where I met some amazing people who have since become my bookish best friends and this is why it will always hold a special place in my heart. So when I saw April’s post about this month’s event, I knew I had to sign up.
- Participate in most of the challenges
- Take part in both Twitter chats
you know I spend a ridiculous amount of time on Twitter anyway - Check out other people’s blog posts, leave them some comment love and meet new friends on Twitter
- Read and review at least two books
- Read at least 100 pages a day
The two books I’m aiming to finish:

Day 1 – February 7, 2013
Number of books read in total: 0
Number of pages read today: 235
Number of pages read in total: 235
Mini challenges completed today: 1
Day 2 – February 8, 2013
Number of books read in total: 0
Number of pages read today: 184
Number of pages read in total: 419
Mini challenges completed today: 0
Day 3 – February 9, 2013
Number of books read in total: 1 (Now You See Me by S.J. Bolton)
Number of pages read today: 93
Number of pages read in total: 512
Mini challenges completed today: 1
I’ll post regular updates on Twitter (on @bookswithacuppa and my blog’s account, @bbt_blog) and I’ll add my completed challenges to this post as we go along. If you’d like to join in the fun or check out the full read-a-thon schedule, you can do so by clicking here. Sign-ups are open until the 11th so you’ve plenty of time
Hope to see you guys on Twitter and good luck to anyone who’s participating!
PS. make sure to leave a comment with a link to your goals so that I can check them out!

Aww the memories of WWRAT. My first read-a-thon was the Wonderfully Wicked read-a-thon of 2011 and where I also met, you, Christy, April and Rebecca. You were all some of my first bookish blogger friends and have all remained so.
Both of your book choice sound good and I hope you meet all of your goals!

Sounds like we all feel the same way about that one.
It’s definitely one of my favourite blogging related memories and I’m so glad I met you guys.
By the way, I’m reading Now You See Me and I think you’d enjoy this one. It’s v. good!
These are always so much fun! And I think we all have the same fond memories of our first:) Here’s to getting lots of reading done, solidifying existing friendships and finding new friends!!!

Yay for more read-a-thons! I’m not doing this one because quite frankly, my reading has been crap lately (I’ve been in a kind of ‘catching up with TV series and sleeping’ mood instead, oops) – but that doesn’t mean I can’t stalk everyone else, right? I’ll just stand over here cheering you on and pelting you with treats every time you finish a chapter.

Thanks Mel – and best of luck with your goals too!
This is my first Wicked Readathon, but I love Readathons! My problem is I sometimes socialise too much and don’t read enough LOL
My #WWReadathon.
I ALWAYS do that! I swear I spend twice as much time on Twitter as I spend reading… At the same time, this is how I’ve met most of my bookish best friends so…
I’m participating as well. Hoping to get in some quality reading time! Hope you do to…enjoy!

Now You See Me looks like a really creepy read. I can’t wait to see what you think!

It IS creepy! I probably shouldn’t have been reading it at night, it really freaked me out at times. (I’m halfway through the story and it’s… just wow.) Hope you enjoy Deja Dead too! I’ve been meaning to read that one for ages.
Good luck with your goals!! I’ve already not done very well on day one but my reading rule is can’t read? Don’t. Only causes burnout. So I’m laptopping next to the boyfriend while he plays Borderlands 2. ^^

Yep, I know the feeling.
It never works unless you really do feel like reading, does it? (I’ll probably take a break today and continue writing my thesis as well)
Hi Vicky, Glad to meet ya, I am participating in the readathon for the first time and look forward to meeting lots of other book bloggers. I love the ideas for the mini-challenges to complete and hope to see you around this week.

I know what you mean about spending so much time on Twitter – I’m sure I spent more time on there than actually reading during the last read-a-thon. Certainly more time doing the challenges! They are so much fun!
Hope you enjoy this read-a-thon as much as the past ones
