“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My pick for this week:

Cover of My Life in Black and White by Natasha FriendMy Life in Black and White by Natasha Friend

Format: Hardcover
Length: 304 pages

Publication date: June 28th, 2012
Publisher: Viking Juvenile
Add it to your Goodreads wishlist

Lexi has always been beautiful, but her beauty is taken from her when she goes face-first through a car windshield. Now Lexi has to dig deep to figure out how to define herself. Help on her journey of self-discovery comes from unexpected sources: Ruth, Lexi’s sister, “the smart one” to Lexi’s “the pretty one,” with whom Lexi has never been close; and Theo, a classmate who is still recovering from his sister’s recent death from anorexia.

Why I can’t wait:
I’ve seen this book a lot in the past few weeks and I have to say, I’m really excited about picking it up. Books with self-discovery themes and losing friends/family members have always interested me for some reason so I have a great feeling about My Life in Black and White!

What are you waiting on this week? Make sure to leave me a link below! :)
