Tackle Your TBR Read-a-Thon

Tackle Your TBR Readathon

It’s been absolutely ages since I was able to take part in a read-a-thon properly, so when I saw Celine’s post about this event I knew I had to sign up. The devastating fact is that I haven’t had time to pick up a book ever since I moved to London last week. I was so busy with moving all my stuff and finding my way around Surrey that I didn’t even have time to check my blog or think about reading. Which is understandable if you’re in such a situation, but I miss blogging and curling up with a good book. So this read-a-thon will be a perfect opportunity for me to set aside a small amount of time each day for reading only.

Hosted by Colorimetry and Tressa’s Wishful Endings, the read-a-thon runs from 8 September till 21 September. If you’d like to join the fun, you can still sign up here.

Since I’m quite busy during the day, my plan is to keep it pretty low-key and finish two books in the next 11 days. I’m already halfway through Locked In by Kerry Wilkinson so I want to finish this one and read one more book. The second book in question might be The Returned by Jason Mott (which I got for review so I should probably hurry up) but since I’m notorious for not sticking to my own lists, I might change my mind. :D

Did you sign up for the read-a-thon? What are your goals?

I understand being too busy to have enough time to read! My goal is 7 books and that is going to be tough for me. I’m anxious to hear what you think of The Returned. Most of the reviews I’ve read are pretty positive but I was kind of meh about it.

Aw, I’m sorry you didn’t like it that much. I usually try to avoid reading reviews beforehand so I don’t know what to expect but I hope it’s a good one!

Ooooh, I SO NEARLY signed up for this one as well! But I’m already doing R.I.P. which feels a bit read-a-thonny (it does when you look at the amount of books I’ve pulled down to choose from, anyway!) and I’m reading fairly steadily at the moment which is nice.

Good luck tackling that TBR pile, and YAY, I’d forgotten you were in London now! Does that mean I can sort-of call you a fellow Brit blogger? *fist bumps honorary newbie* Hope you settle right in and find some quality reading time again – the first thing I did when I moved house last week was studiously ignore the rest of my stuff and make a cozy reading corner for myself, so I’m good on that front, haha! PRIORITIES. :D

    Happy reading…

Ooooh, what’s RIP? I’m so behind on bookish events – I really need to catch up.

And yes you can! *huge grin* Sort of. The only problem is that I have to spend most of my time looking for a job so I don’t have as much time for reading as I used to.

HA! That sounds like me :D

Oh I’d be excited to read ‘The Returned’ – I thought the French TV adaptation was brilliant, so I’d love to know what this is like! May have to grab a copy myself!
