Showcase Sunday #70

Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s Showcase Sunday! How are you? Are you ready for the last week in February? (Seriously, where did this month go?!) I won’t say I’m sad to see good ol’ February go but it’s insane how fast the past few weeks have passed by. I have some really exciting things planned for March, though, so next weekend can’t come soon enough. :D As for new books… I have some really lovely stuff to show you this week!

Unravelling Oliver | Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

Two fantastic review books this week – Unravelling Oliver is a soon-to-be-released psychological thriller from Penguin Ireland (which sounds right up my street) and… well, I don’t think Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock needs an introduction. It’s been on my wish list ever since I read the synopsis a few months ago and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be an amazing read. :) Many thanks to Penguin and Headline for the books!

Delirium | Finding Mr Flood | The Worst Girlfriend in the World

I wasn’t planning on buying any new books for a while (I have far too many review books to catch up on as it is) but I went on a quick birthday present shopping trip this time last week and… somehow ended up in a local charity shop. Bad idea. I saw Lauren Oliver’s Delirium and remembered how many of you said it’s a brilliant series, so I decided to get a copy. Apart from a small tear on the front cover, which I haven’t even noticed until now, it’s pretty much brand new – and it was only £1! I also found Finding Mr Flood, also for £1. I loved Ciara’s newest novel so I have very high hopes for this one.

Then, a few days later I got an email from Goodreads saying that I won one of their First Reads giveaways, so Atom sent me a copy of The Worst Girlfriend in the World. One of my goals for this year is to read more YA and MG books so  I’m really looking forward to picking this one up.

That’s my book haul for the past two weeks!

I too requested Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock (which I read as "Leonard Nimoy" every single time…) and look forward to reading it. I liked the YA novels by Sarra Manning I've read before and have heard some good reports from her latest, so I hope you enjoy it too!

Charity shops are hard to resist, aren't they? ;)
