Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Hello everyone and welcome back! How was your week?
I had a pretty good – and slightly less busy – week, thank goodness. I’m finally starting to catch up on reading, review-writing and brainstorming for new blog post ideas so after months of procrastination and a super busy schedule I can finally say I’m back! I’m planning on taking part in a couple of new monthly or weekly features, as well as posting more reviews so keep your eyes peeled.
I was only expecting to get Cruel Summer this week but when I went back to my previous house to collect my mail last weekend I saw that I got a parcel from Waterstones. As it turns out, I was one of the lucky winners who got a copy of Diane Setterfield’s Bellman and Black and who get to review it on the Waterstones website. I mean, how cool is that?
Cruel Summer was another giveaway win from Ellie and another book which I’ve been meaning to read ever since it came out. All the reviews I’ve seen so far were brilliant so fingers crossed it doesn’t disappoint. Thanks, Ellie!
Have you guys read these books yet? Are they any good?
