Showcase Sunday #59

Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Hello everyone! How was your week? What were you up to? I had an insanely crazy week once again. I moved house last week and started work on Monday so I’m knackered. *collapses on bed* I’m currently in London because I had to go back to my previous flat in Surrey to fetch my mail and I went to the theatre last night but I’m planning on having a quiet night in with a book and a cuppa tea tonight. :) Anyway, let’s see this week’s new arrivals.

For review

The Dark Inside - Rupert Wallis

Add it on Goodreads | Pre-order the book

This one is going to be released in late January by Simon & Schuster and looks absolutely gorgeous. I don’t know what it is about simple cover designs but I absolutely love them. Many thanks to S&S for the book (and for sending it months in advance, which is always a plus :D)!

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarti

Add it on Goodreads | Pre-order the book

Ellie from Curiosity Killed the Bookworm had a giveaway on her Facebook page a while ago and I was one of the lucky winners who got a copy of The Husband’s Secret. This one has been on my wish list for a while so needless to say I’m really looking forward to reading it. (And it’s so pretty as well!) I’ve seen this book a lot lately, though – have you guys read it? Is it any good?

I know! I remember seeing it in the Penguin catalogue and thinking “it sounds really good but I’ll wait for some reviews, just in case” so I’m really chuffed that it’s – supposedly – a good one. :)

So do I! It’s not even just the fact that you have to pack all your stuff (which is exhausting in itself) but it takes a while to settle in and get used to living in a different place.

I have seen an advertisement for My Husband Secret and the whole letter from someone who is supposed who thought they were gonna be dead looks so thrilling. I look forward to your review of it :).

Hope everything is going well in London and that the UK is treating you good! :) xxx
