Hello and welcome to Showcase Sunday. Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. I had another quiet week (two weeks, actually). I’m waiting for about 3 or 4 review copies at the moment and none of them have turned up yet. I don’t know what happened since they’ve been posted ages ago, but well… all I can do is wait, I suppose. Anyway, I had to borrow Agnes Grey from the library for one of my classes and I also decided to buy the Kindle version of Gretchen McNeil’s Ten. Ten has been on my wishlist for ages and I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait until it comes out in paperback next year, so I ordered the ebook. I’m really looking forward to reading it!
In other news, Halloween is just around the corner and I’ve some fun posts scheduled for the following week. Halloween week at Books, Biscuits, and Tea kicked off on Tuesday so make sure to check out my Top 5 Halloween Reads and my Top 5 list of creepy book covers if you’re interested! And as always, feel free to send me a link to your own Halloween related posts so that I can check them out.
As of yesterday evening, Books, Biscuits, and Tea has its own Twitter account! For bookish news, updates and ramblings make sure to hit the follow button below. I’ll follow back, of course.
What did everyone get this week? Are you celebrating Halloween? Make sure to leave a link to your own Showcase Sunday post in the linky below and feel free to leave me some comment love after linking up. Have a great weekend!
