Hello and welcome to Showcase Sunday. Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. This week on Books, Biscuits, and Tea
♦ On Monday I posted about two upcoming blog tours you can still sign up for
♦ On Friday I shared my top 5 books that made me laugh out loud
Random House Canada’s Olympic Readathon started on Friday which is the main reason for my absence this week. The other reasons being that I was hunting for birthday gifts, working, and trying to get some reading done with more or less success. I’m sorry for being terribly slow at responding to your comments – I’ll reply as soon as possible, I promise! Also, if you need some motivation and you fancy joining the readathon, you can still do so by clicking here. It runs until the 12th of August I believe so you’ve plenty of time.
I’m actually quite proud of myself because on top of work, replying to tons of emails and everything else I managed to read more than 300 pages already. *beams* Anyway, let’s see what came in the mail this week!
Incoming books
Debutantes by Cora Harrison (for review)
Torn by David Massey (for review)
In the Woods by Tana French (won)
The Likeness by Tana French (won)
Faithful Place by Tana French (won)
Broken Harbour by Tana French (won)
Once again, I had a fantastic week. I got my copy of Debutantes which looks stunning! It’s not the final cover but it’s still gorgeous. The photo doesn’t do it justice but it’s all pink and golden, it’s very pretty. Torn is another review copy I’m going to be reading next week – I’m taking part in the blog tour so keep an eye on my blog for a guest post by the author and my review!
Then, I received a huge parcel which turned out to be the set of Tana French books I won from Hodder & Stoughton. Yes! I still can’t believe it! I’ve heard so many GREAT things about Tana French in the past few weeks from like-minded people on Twitter and then I won an entire set.. Unbelievable!
Has anyone read these? I can’t wait to pick them up!
And of course a massive thank you to Macmillan, Chicken House and Hodder & Stoughton for the lovely books!
What did you get this week? Make sure to leave a link to your own Showcase Sunday post in the linky below and feel free to leave a comment as well! Also, Review Copy Cleanup 2.0 starts next Wednesday – if you’re interested, make sure to sign up and join us – it’ll be fun! See you on Wednesday! x

Busy busy busy busy you!! Honestly I don’t know how some people (those in full time work or school) manage to maintain their blogging, reading, social life, sanity, etc. YOU’RE NOT HUMAN.
I recently read some reviews of The Debutantes, which have me very eager to give this a go!! I really hope you love it.
Congrats on your Tara Finch win! I’ve never actually heard of the author, but I might go see what some of her books are like.
