Hello and welcome to my new weekly meme, Showcase Sunday. From this moment on, I’m not participating in IMM anymore for reasons you may have already heard about. I do not support or approve of plagiarism and most importantly, lying about it. Hence I’m starting a new weekly meme which will replace IMM on my blog – and of course, everyone’s welcome to join in. The aim of this event is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week. I haven’t actually done any mailbox related post for a few weeks now since I’ve been really busy so it’s high time I did one. First I didn’t get too many books because I’m still trying to catch up with my previous review copies and I stopped requesting ARCs for a while, then I had no time to post and show them, so it’s about 3 weeks’ haul.

I’m so excited about these three! I actually haven’t heard anything about Hitler’s Angel and I was quite surprised when it showed up but I hope it’s going to be good. A massive thank you to Choc Lit, Chicken House, and Constable & Robinson for the review copies!

So, Jenny from Chocolate Chunky Munkie – along with several other UK bloggers – attended a blogger brunch at Hachette in late March and was kind enough to send me her spare ARC of Anna Dressed In Blood because she knew how much I wanted to read it. Eeeeee! Thanks so much, Jenny 
Also, Dani from Pen to Paper went to a book signing/reading event and also had a spare copy of Before I Go to Sleep – she had a giveaway on her blog and I won! Which is something I’m still really excited about, since it’s been on my wishlist for a pretty long time and I literally never win. Anyway, thank you so much!
That’s it for the past two or three weeks – it’s not much but it’s still more than I can cope with at the moment. What did you guys get this week? I’m another one who hasn’t read Anna Dress in Blood yet! and it sounds so good! I’m wondering what Before I Go to Sleep is about, the cover and the title gives me the chills, will have to go look that one up, lol!

Great haul! The only one I’ve heard of was Anna Dressed in Blood. I wasn’t a big fan of it like some, but I can understand the hype behind it. I do hope you enjoy it when you read it though! =)

Sounds good to me! I’m thinking about doing one some time in June or July maybe – I have some exams coming up so definitely after I get those out of the way. And maybe something without the giveaways this time around – it was a hell of a lot work to get all the authors to send out prizes, etc. Hmmm. We’ll see – but it definitely was a great motivation! I’ve already seen your blog & Sunday Showcase around the blogosphere so many times, and each time I did, I thought of you and smiled! x) And with how many books I have to read too, I totally understand why you stopped requesting them. You know, I am HIHGLY jealous of your Anna Dressed In Blood. I have been wanting to read this book for SO long! My mum also said that Before I go to Sleep is WELL worth a read (and we generally have the same taste in Adult Fiction) So I hope that you love both of these!

I didn’t get anything book related last week so I didn’t post anything on the weekend, but if I get/buy anything book related this week, I will participate in this meme.
Yay for this new meme. The sticker is awesome and I look forward to participating in it on Sundays. Though I’ve been book blogging for almost a year now (my baby, um, I mean, my blog LOL will be 1 year old in August), I had never done hauls on my blog till recently when I did my first IMM and then I learned of the plagiarism and that whole ordeal and I was like “Oh em gee. I want to do more hauls now but I don’t want to take part in IMM’s anymore” – so thank you. I wanna hug this new meme
because I was feeling a bit lost on what to do honestly.

Anna dressed in blood looks awesome. So this is going to be a permanent MeMe from now on? I’m considering switching because I like the idea of featuring new books but I don’t like how participating in IMM presents a moral dilemma. I didn’t actually hear anything about it until last Sunday because I don’t do a lot of social things with my blog. But then it kind of felt like I was showing support for something I didn’t agree with and all the drama everywhere surrounding it. I don’t like drama, but I kind of want to know if this is something you started because you’re currently angry like everyone seems to be at the moment and then when you calm down you’ll go back to IMM or is this something you’re committed to following through on? That probably comes across as way rude but I don’t mean for it to be. I just kind of want to know this isn’t something temporary so I don’t set up my post for next week only to find out that everyone is back to IMM instead. I like the idea behind both features and I like that yours doesn’t have a lot of drama and moral dilemmas surrounding it. It’s just so many MeMes start out fairly strong and then a few weeks later the blogger’s moved on to something new and more interesting to them. So anyway I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

And yes, I’m definitely going to keep this feature running – I’m not going back to IMM anymore. I know there are several alternatives out there but I’ll stick with my own. 
I switched out the MeMe button from IMM to Showcase Sundays and I’ll be here on Sunday for next weeks then. Cant’ promise I’ll join in every week, but I’m catching up on old requests at the moment so I don’t always get new books each week. But I got one this week and should have another any day now so I’ll be here next week for your MeMe.
