Hello and welcome to the third Review Copy Cleanup! After two successful editions in 2012, we’re back for another month of review copy reading madness. Whether you have a modest pile or a complete mountain of review books to get through, you are all welcome to join the fun.
What is the Review Copy Cleanup?
RCC is a month-long event in which Celine from Nyx Book Reviews and myself challenge ourselves to read as many review books as we possibly can. We are both notorious for accepting way too many review requests and consequently, our to-be-read piles are pretty daunting. In order to get some extra motivation we invented Review Copy Cleanup. This year we are keeping things simple – no challenges or scheduled Twitter chats, just weekly updates so we can all keep track of each other’s process – and lots of reading, of course. You’re welcome to keep track of the challenge in the way that’s most convenient for you.
Grab our button!
Show off our brand new Review Copy Cleanup button on your blog so everyone can see you’re participating!
Grab code for the button:
Guidelines:
- Review Copy Cleanup 3.0 runs from 1 to 28 February
- It starts and ends at midnight in your local timezone to avoid confusion
- To sign up, just fill in the linky below. Link to your sign up post directly, please! The linky is the same for both our blogs, so you only have to sign up once.
- The Linky will close on the 15th, so make you sign up before then.
- When you post your sign up post on your blog, either include the challenge button with your post or link it back to this article so that people know where to sign up. Thanks! (:
- Every book you received for review counts towards the challenge, both e-books and hard copies (even audio books for review if you have those), including all genres and lengths.
- Feel free to use the #RCCleanup hashtag on Twitter for your RCC related tweets or join the Twitter party at http://tweetchat.com/room/RCCleanup and meet lots of awesome bloggers (:
- At the end of every week we will post our personal updates, and we’ll include a linky for you to add yours!

It will, it will!
This might be a good way to read all my Netgalley copies (and I still have two review copies I got from authors in 2012, I feel ashamed) I’m going to think about joining!

I’ve ten times as many from last year – I’m mortified. But hey, that’s what RCC is for.
Yay, it’s back again. I have been waiting for it. I’m so excited. I’m not sure how much I will be able to participate though since my institute has this big national conference coming up in mid-Feb and we are organizing it. Also, I will be busy preparing for my sister’s engagement next month. Hopefully I will cover up in the last two weeks.

Same here – February and March will be quite hectic (again) so I’ve no idea how much time I’ll have. We’ll see
So glad to have you on board, though <3 Best of luck!
Again? I thought you would have some time since your exams just got over.
Pragya recently posted..Review Copy Cleanup 3.0 – Sign Up
Yup. I get two weeks off but the spring term starts on the 11th. AND the thesis submission deadline is March 31 and I haven’t even started writing it. *le sigh*
Uh oh. All the best. I am sure you will finish it well before time.

I have some ebooks for review that have been neglected, shame on me. Especially with classes starting in the middle of February, I seriously need to read those and send the feedback. I might give this challenge a try
It also sounds fun
XX Ner
We’re in the same boat, then
My classes started last Monday which was one of the reasons why I wanted to get these deadlines and books “out of the way”, so to speak.
Best of luck! xxx
First time I am taking part in the review copy cleanup and I am super excited. Hope to get some reading done!

Brilliant idea! I have so many books to catch up on so this is perfect.

Ah, I know this feeling all too well. I’ve so many review copies from last year, I’m literally mortified. Let’s hope we can both catch up this month!
A nice way to brighten up February and keep me reading after my new year new start mood wears off!

Just starting the whole book blogging thing, but I am totally looking forward to it!
Ooooh, good luck! And if you need help with anything, feel free to shoot me an email or hit me up via Twitter
greatly appreciate it ^_^
Thanks so much for hosting this again! It was so much fun last year
It was great, wasn’t it?
I loved chatting to you all and reading alongside you – here’s to another successful #RCCleanup
Thanks for hosting! I needed this

Good luck!
My pile is far too long, and my goal of attacking it in January was foiled by “real-life”. SO let’s try for February! (It’s nice to know I’m not the only person in this situation …)
Same here, same here. *sigh* And you’re definitely not! I think we’re all pretty much in the same boat here. Good luck, Andrew!

Can’t wait to hear what you think of Hysteria!
I’m so happy this is back! It helps give me an extra kick to read some of those review books I have to read. My pile, if they were physical books, could probably kill me or seriously injure me.
Natasha Zaleski recently posted..Review Copy Cleanup 3.0
Ha! I know that feeling all too well. Most of my books are physical ones so my TBR pile looks pretty intimidating…
Good luck!
I so need this! LOL

Good luck!
This is exactly the incentive I need to tackle my MASSIVE review pile. Thanks for hosting again, girls! <3
PS – Completely unrelated, but I meant to tweet you last week after I watched Downton Abbey…I was SO angry with what happened, I bawled my face off. I hate when shows kill people off, especially characters who were my favourite.

I know, right? It really pissed me off. Although what bothers me the most is the fact that the whole story just doesn’t seem to go anywhere – it’s like a bloody soap opera from the 1920s…
I loved the first season (and even the second one) but I don’t think I’ll keep watching it. Ugh! Which episode are you on, by the way?
This week’s will be episode 5. I’m enjoying it so far, but I do see what you mean about it becoming very soap opera-ish. A lot of drama and weird romantic themes and jilted lovers, that sort of thing. I’m curious to see where it goes, but you’re not the only one I’ve heard from who isn’t sure if they’ll continue next season.
SweetMarie83 recently posted..Review Copy Cleanup 3.0
Yes, that’s exactly what I mean! I think I’ll just stick to Survivor and The Amazing Race from now on…

I got through about 6 books during the previous RCC, if I remember correctly, but this month was a lot worse. I’ve only read two books so far and one of them is barely over a hundred pages. UGH. I hope you’re doing much better than me! x
Thanks for hosting! This is my first reading challenge aside from the one on Goodreads. I’m so excited to participate!!

I can’t believe I didn’t know that this was running again until now! I will have to get my goals post sorted for tomorrow
I can already add two review books that I’ve read this month to it though
Good luck to everyone taking part

And thank you for joining us (and sorry for being terribly late with my reply)! We did have a schedule sort of thing during the very first #RCCleanup but we’re doing things a bit differently this time. So there are no challenges or Twitter chats at all – we all try to focus on reading instead. You’re welcome to post weekly (or daily) updates or just a wrap-up post at the end of the month, whichever works best for you.
And make sure to use the #RCCleanup hashtag on Twitter so that we can stop by your blog and check out your progress.
