Hello and welcome to my first ever bookshelf tour! I’ve wanted to do this post for a while now but I never actually had time to put it all together – up until now. So here we are
My bookcase is quite small – well, in the sense that I don’t have a separate library or even several other bookcases- so I’m not going to do a video, BUT: I tried to take HQ photos so that if anyone’s looking for a new read, you can just click on the photos and zoom in.
◄ As you can see, my bookshelves are…. crazy. The whole thing is a mess but I’m running out of space so believe me, it’s only going to get worse from now on! The top of the bookcase is full of perfumes/ perfume bottles, gifts and that sort of thing – sorry for the mess!
As for the books: I organise them (apart from ARCs and dictionaries) in alphabetical order of the authors’ surnames. I kept thinking about it a lot before I decided to re-organise my books: I know there are lots of people who organise their books by colour, by genre or in any other way but for me, this one seemed the easiest.
Let’s take a closer look, starting with the very top:
◄ This is my Agatha Christie collection. There are – as of June 2012 – 26 books in there, I think, and the 27th book is on its way. They’re mostly from the signature collection by Harper Collins but some of them are from various second-hand shops in London. I do prefer the signature edition (with a slightly larger font size they’re easier to read than the older copies and the covers look much better) but I’m not fussed even if my books don’t match.
